Simply create a profile, answer a few quick questions about yourself or the recipient, and let our AI generate personalized recommendations. You can browse gifts, save items to your wishlist, and purchase directly from trusted retailers like Amazon, and more.
2. Is Gimmie free to use?
Yes! Gimmie is completely free for users. We make money through affiliate commissions, meaning when you purchase a gift through our platform, we earn a small percentage—at no extra cost to you.
3. How does Gimmie choose gift recommendations?
Our AI analyzes user preferences, interests, and wish list items to curate thoughtful and unique gift ideas. The more you use Gimmie, the better it gets at understanding what gifts will be most meaningful.
4. Can I save gift ideas for later?
Yes! With Gimmie, you can add to and manage your wishlist, making it easy to keep track of great gift ideas. Your wishlist is also a great place for others to find out what gifts you desire most.
5. Does Gimmie store my payment information?
No. Gimmie never collects or stores any financial information. All purchases are completed securely through trusted third-party retailers like Amazon.
6. Will Gimmie remind me of important gifting dates?
Yes! Gimmie can send reminders for birthdays, anniversaries, and other special occasions so you never miss an important moment. Just sync your iCal or Google calendar or create a new Gimmie calendar by adding occasions directly from the app.
7. Can I send a digital greeting card with my gift?
Yes, you sure can! With Gimmie Greetings you can send digital greeting cards completely free! You can even send them without purchasing a gift just a small gesture to friends or colleagues. Upload your own designs, add personal photos, custom messages and more, all for free!
8. Does Gimmie support international gift shopping?
Yes, of course. Whenever possible, Gimmie will automatically direct you to your regional Amazon site to purchase gifts in your local currency and from local retailers. If you are shopping for gift while visiting another country be sure to double-check you are in the right Amazon store.
9. Can I share gift ideas with friends and family?
Indeed! The easiest way to share your gift ideas is to add them to them to your wishlist and then simply share your profile URL anyway you like directly from your profile page.
10. What if I don’t like the gift recommendations?
If your gift results aren’t quite hitting the mark, simply adjust the description you typed into the AI search prompt or try “Search by username” for best results.
Here are some additional tips for getting the best gift results every time.
- Try to be as clear with your verbiage as possible using clear descriptive phrases. (For example, “loves bass fishing in Georgia and winter deer hunting in Tennessee” vs simply “outdoorsman”)
- Use specific names and pronouns whenever possible. (For example, “likes Duke Basketball & Panthers football” vs. “likes college sports and NFL”)
- Never include dislikes or things you don’t want to see in the description. Including dislikes can confuse Gimmie and may more than likely lead to worse gift results.
The better you are at describing your recipient within these parameters the better your gift results will be.

11. I am having issues syncing my calendars ?
Calendars can be tricky especially when using multiple providers such as Google and Apple iCal simultaneously.
Since calendars are technically a third-party function managed by your provider, we are limited in the support we can provide. That being said, here is a link to our troubleshooting page for common calendar issues.
